Dr Annika Amoako

Clinical Psychologist

I am a Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

I use a range of evidence-based psychological therapies, the main approaches I use currently are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Systemic Therapy (Family therapy).

I always aim to individualise therapy to individual clients’ needs using a collaborative and compassionate approach.

I am a friendly, empathic, warm natured and down to earth practitioner. I have a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced adverse health experiences and where there are strong body-mind links. I also specialise in working with people who have experienced traumatic events, that have caused symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.
