I am an experienced HCPC registered practitioner psychologist with more than 16 years of experience in both the public sector and private practice.

I have worked across diverse cultures and ethnicities using a culturally sensitive approach.

I am passionate about helping clients to make a positive difference in their lives.

My Experience

My aim is to offer a warm, nurturing and supportive environment. I am also known for putting those I work with at ease and building positive therapeutic relationships.

I am experienced in working with clients with anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, social and emotional needs and behavioural difficulties. I have extensive experience in supporting neurodiverse clients with autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Tourette Syndrome.

I offer a kind and creative approach aiming not only to help clients overcome challenges but to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACHES

I use a range of therapeutic models, which are evidence-based and select approaches that best suit client needs. My integrative approach uses models including:

  • Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Brief Solution Focused Therapy
  • Comprehensive Behavioural Treatment for Tics (CBITS)

WHO I WORK WITH

I work therapeutically with children and adolescents experiencing difficulties including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, low mood, tics, and behavioural difficulties. I am experienced in supporting young people who are neurodivergent and use creative ways to adapt my approach to ensure that clients can fully engage.

I offer psychological consultations for parents/carers or professionals to support children and young people. These consultations cover a range of issues including –

  • Behaviour concerns
  • Parenting/family demands
  • Education and learning related issues
  • Sleep issues
  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Social and emotional needs

I also offer consultations for parents/carers who are facing personal challenges as they transition to new stages of their lives and are looking for support to ensure their own needs are met.
